Who we are

New House Inspections is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing inspections. Contact details are in the footer.

What we collect

• Enquiry and booking details: your name, email, phone number, the property address or plot, the developer, completion date and anything you tell us in the message.
• Inspection records: photographs of the property, the report, and correspondence about it.
• Website use: basic server logs. We do not run advertising trackers. If we add analytics we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, carry out and deliver the inspection, invoice you, and keep the records we need for insurance and legal purposes. The legal basis is performance of a contract (or steps you ask us to take before one), and our legitimate interest in running the business.

Who we share it with

Nobody sells your data. We share what is needed with: the developer or site team to arrange access (your name and the plot, not your report); our email, storage and invoicing providers; our insurer or legal advisers if a claim arises; and anyone you ask us to send the report to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings: 12 months. Inspection records and reports: 6 years after the inspection, to match limitation periods and insurance requirements.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
