Terms & Conditions

The terms on which we provide snagging inspections.

Last updated 24 September 2026

1. Who we are

New House Inspections (“we”, “us”). Contact details are in the footer of this website. Company registration details will be added on incorporation.

2. The service

We provide new-build snagging inspections, re-inspections, end-of-warranty inspections, electrical inspections and intrusive inspections as described on this website. The scope and limits of each are set out in our Scope of Inspection and Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

3. Booking

A booking is made when we confirm a date in writing (email is fine) and you accept it. By accepting you agree to these terms and to the scope document. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have their authority.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are as shown on our pricing page at the time of booking, or as quoted for larger homes and additional travel. We invoice on booking. Payment is due before the report is released, by card or bank transfer.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge with at least 48 hours’ notice before the appointment. Cancellations with less notice are charged at 50% of the fee. If the developer refuses or cancels access on the day through no fault of yours, we rebook at no charge. If we have to cancel, we will offer a new date or a full refund.

6. Access

You are responsible for arranging our access to the property, or for authorising us to arrange it with the developer on your behalf. Where the home has not completed, access is at the developer’s discretion and subject to site rules. We will comply with reasonable site requirements. If access is refused, section 5 applies.

7. The report

We aim to deliver the report within 48 hours of the inspection. The report is for you and may be shared with your developer, solicitor and warranty provider for the purpose of raising the defects listed. It remains our copyright and must not be published, sold or used commercially without our permission.

8. Your responsibilities

Provide accurate property details, tell us about any known hazards, and, for an intrusive inspection, obtain any permission required from the developer or landlord before the visit.

9. Liability

Our liability is as set out in the Scope of Inspection and Disclaimer. We hold public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

10. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Our complaints procedure explains how we handle it.

11. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where you book at a distance (online or by phone) you have a 14-day right to cancel, except that by asking us to carry out the inspection within that period you agree we may do so and, once it has been carried out, the right to cancel no longer applies.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Draft for review before launch.
